Alternatively, there are taxi services available. However, traffic is renowned for being very busy in Guadeloupe. The port is about 5 minutes away from downtown Pointe a Pitre. The new terminal has a variety of facilities for passengers to enjoy including a bar, luggage storage, disabled access, toilets and car rental agencies nearby.
