Ronne is a town in Denmark on the island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea. About 8-900 years ago,ships could anchor relatively safely between two reefs, which are situated in the sea north and south of Ronne. Here, the harbour and the town sprung up. The oldest part of the harbour is the idyllic Sdr. Badehavn just beneath the St. Nicolai Church. In the 13th century, a summer chapel was built on the hill above the coast. As a provincial town, Ronne is at least 675 years old and today, the town is the trade and administrative centre as well as the centre for public service with hospital and casualty ward, police station, court, upper secondary education and a technical and vocational school.
