  • "End of September travel"

I paid for recliner seats...a number of them didn’t work. I would recommend fixing or indicate with signage they are broken. Two of the ladies washroom facilities were out of order. Staff were courteous.i didn’t eat on board but was happy to see there were vegan and vegetarian options.

  • "Barcelona-Ciutadella and Ciutadella Barcelona with Balearia ship "Hypatia de Alejandría""

Barcelona-Ciutadella. We were 2 people by car. They sent us to the boarding area, far from terminal. The ship was late and we had to wait more than 2 hours. No waiting room, no information and a single WC for at least 100 people. Once embarked on the "Hypatia of Alexandria" everything was perfect. We had a cabin, very comfortable, and everything was very clean in perfect condition. Ciutadella-Barcelona In Ciudadela the shipment was made at the scheduled time. Unlike Barcelona, only the driver entered with the vehicle. The companion entered from the terminal. Once on the ship everything was very correct, as on the outward journey. In this journey, which did not reach 6 hours, we do it by day and hire it in armchair (standard). Taking into account the duration of the journey and that much of the time can be spent in the restaurant or on the outer decks, the trip becomes very short. About "Hypatia of Alexandria" it should be said that it is a fairly new ship that runs on LNG (liquefied natural gas), much less polluting than diesel-powered ships. Cleaning of the ship and politeness of the crew are also things to highlight.

  • "Lovely ferry - but Traumatic for the dog!"

Everything was as was written - although the ferry terminal is not marked on the boarding passes/vouchers, which would have been helpful as there are a number of Balearia terminals at Barcelona. Only regret is that our poor dog spent a night in kennels in the top deck with a number of stressed barking dogs and cold condensation coming down. Wish they’d make an exception about this.

  • "Winter trip"

Travelled over on the 25th from Barcelona to Ciutadella. The journey was good and 1st class seats comfortable enough to sleep in. Food and drinks reasonably priced. Only downfall was I was unaware that the ferry went via Alcudia, announcements wake you up when trying to sleep.
