The city of Volos is located at the foot of the peninsula of Pelion at the centre of Greece. The island of Alonissos can be found in the Northern Sporades region of Greece in the Aegean Sea. Ferries arrive and depart Alonissos from the port of Patitiri on the south east of the island.
