The Lounge bar is a stylish environment and the perfect place to relax and catch up on the latest news and sports via the onboard wide TV screens. The Lounge bar serves refreshing hot and cold drinks, light snacks, wines and spirits. Costa Coffee is now also served within this area. Alternatively, if you’re looking for an ambient atmosphere on board then visit the Bistro Bar on deck 7.
If you enjoy retail therapy then you will find a great deal to please you on board in the retail shop which offers great savings on the latest fragrances, cosmetics and skincare and a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits.
Newspapers, magazines and those easily forgotten items such as maps and toiletries can also be purchased from the onboard shop as well as a range of travel essentials and equipment required to drive legally in the UK and on the continent are also available.
There’s an information desk which is manned throughout your journey (situated on deck 6), a bureau de change and an ATM.
D Class vessels are equipped to carry disabled passengers however it is advised to inform us at the time of making a booking so that the we can ensure that your car can be situated nearer to the elevators on the car deck.
Please Note: Whilst we have taken great care in making our D Class guide as accurate as possible, onboard facilities, services and entertainment may vary depending on the date and time of year that you travel, facilities mentioned may change without notification and ferry companies reserve the right to operate vessels other than those mentioned at time of booking without prior notification.

"Plain sailing "
The voyages outward and return was plain sailing, quiet and not too busy. Sailing was delayed however the length of time of 2 hours was accurate. I would definitely use dfds again.

"Crew is 5* but T&C was incorrect about pets"
Booked the ferry as I wanted to take my dogs with me. used to travel with it pre-pandemic and saw several dogs on board. During the booking process NOWHERE in the T&C was it mentioned that the dogs cannot come up to board any more. And they needed to stay down in the stinky, extremely loud cargo space. Overall they were trautamatised, so was I. The crew took me down half way through and couldnt have been more apologetic, they were absolutely amazing. BUT the management should provide an ACCURATE T&C. Obviously I will not use the ferry any more as I will not depart from my dogs. that was cruel!

I would definitely choose Direct Ferries again. We normally book direct with DFDS but Direct Ferries were cheaper than DFDS this time.

"Calais to Dunkirk return"
Quick turnaround, on time, friendly staff at check-in and onboard, the boats were clean and tidy, and the food was good, so we enjoyed the trip much more than using the Channel Tunnel.

Punctual on the dot - nice, clean facilities - great sitting areas - and cherry on the cake: we arrived early at the port and were allowed on an earlier sailing -

"3rd Sept 2022 Dunkirk-Dover"
Everything was great about the ferry service, we found the whole experience on the ferry great, from shopping to the cafe and seating. We would add that the return journey from Dunkirk to Dover checking in experience a little bit time consuming especially as there were no toilet facilities until we arrived at the lanes to board the ship.

Ship left bang on time and check in was efficient. Nice touch being welcomed on board. Security announcements could have been louder and given higher priority. Overall, very happy and loved the flexibility of being put on an earlier boat.

"Efficient and enjoyable "
We were allowed to get the earlier ferry both in Dover and Dunkirk which was great. The food on board was good and value for money and we had no issues at all. Very pleasant trip.

"Excellent in the end"
When I first booked, I gave my car Reg, but then I changed it. I tried to log on to Directferries but it kept saying I had to pay £170. I contacted Driectferries but everything was automated, i then had an E Mail but managed to sort it out myself. Finally got an E Mail saying that they apologised for the delay, some 3 hrs after I had set sail. The crossing was excellent, as was the return.
