99% of our customers recommended this ship
We had a nice relaxing crossing on both legs of our trip. The ferry was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We used the Stena Plus lounge and we will definitely book it again the next time we travel to Wales. The lounge was quiet and comfortable and the service and food was excellent. We would recommend using it, we felt it added to our comfort on the ship. There was a very nice member of staff working in the facilities in Fishguard. She was very welcoming and helpful to all the travellers. We were very impressed with the standard of cleanliness in these facilities too.

"Service with a smile"
We arrived in our Motorhome 45 minutes before sailing and presented our tickets and travel documents to a lovely lady in the Kiosk she asked if we had our passenger location forms and we replied in the affirmative and she waved us through with a smile. We were waved onto the ship immediately and were guided to our parking spot by three deck stewards to park right at the front of the lorry deck. Then my wife who is disabled, made a mistake and went through the wrong door!! We went up towards the crew quarters, lots of cheerful shouting and we were guided to the proper door to the lift up to deck 7. We then had a very pleasant snack in the restaurant and retired to the lounge where we spent a restful 3 hours having lunch all served by an always smiling waitress, My only complain was despite not being very crowded the Wi Fi was really slow and poor. Al together a really pleasant smooth crossing and a wonderful start to our holiday in Ireland

"Simply the best"
This was my first time travelling with Stena line. I brought 2 big bags thinking, im going to have to keep these on me for the few hours. When checking in I found out through Staff I could check them in. FOR FREE. Being 5 months pregnant this was just a life saver. I won't lie, luckily I fell asleep for most of the trip however I can say the couches are really comfortable! They also didn't sell iced coffee or tea, which I was disappointed with however, the staff honestly went the extra mile and said he would try his best to make one for me. I got a Hazlenut iced Cappuccino. It was EXQUISITE. Also met some lovely people too on board, in the outdoor area. After disembarking, the staff continuesly helped, brought my bags out for me and left me with my husband. Stena line, from now on, will always be my first choice. Thanks to all the staff and stena line for employing such kind & caring people.

"a week on the Guinness, I mean working..."
I had the opportunity to work at various places in Ireland and as they started in the south I travelled from Fishguard. The whole Stena experience was very easy from booking to boarding. The fish and chips was delicious and as storm Arwen had just left the Irish sea it was a very calm crossing. Just short of 3.5 hours of which I slept through 2!

"Pleasant quiet, crossing"
The food was disappointing. The restaurant was only open for a short period but the food was already only warm. Very helpful staff helped us charge our phones! Ship left and arrived early and embarcation was efficient.

Nice and relaxed trip in the plus lounge. Staff very helpful.... went to the trouble of getting me a diet drink bottles from the other end of ship as the diet drinks had ran out in the lounge.

Despite the severe weather conditions on both the outward and return journeys I am very grateful for Stena for ensuring that the ferry crossings happened with the minimum of disruption. The staff at Fishguard were extremely helpful on the outward journey and very quickly arranged a transfer to Holyhead where the ferries were still running.

"Great trips "
We used the fishguard to rosslare and did the return trip On the way there the channel had a gale force wind and was very rough, so the captain put out stabilisers and took a longer route to try his best to achieve comfort and reduce passenger discomfort Yes we were slightly later - 2 hours- but compared with vomiting that was a great result. Good communication at all time. Very impressed with all aspects of the journeys. Route home was smooth and 2 hours quicker... communication leading up to the trip was great too!

Sailing departed early in both directions and arrived at the advised ETA. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Refreshments were more than adequate and reasonably priced. I would happily recommend Stena Line.

Booked the ferry in August, return trip for car and 2 pax in Stena Plus Lounge for a visit to Ireland over the New Year holiday. Changed my car in November, so changed car details on booking and received confirmation of change still showing return trip for car and 2 pax in Stena Plus Lounge. Got to Fishguard on 28 Dec and was denied boarding as Stena Plus passengers as Direct Ferries had made booking with Stena on Standard basis and there were no spare seats available. Tried phoning DF while waiting to board to get the booking sorted out for the return leg, but DF automated phone system got as far as saying 'you are in a queue and you are the' and then went silent. Gave up after 10 mins waiting and tried again Sunday morning. Same problem with automated phone answering with queue message crashing, but at least after 5 mins wait actually got a person on the line. Could not correct the booking as all Stena Plus seats on return leg booked. Appears that DF computer had cocked up and cancelled the Stena Plus seats with Stena when changing car details but had not corrected information on my DF booking which was still showing the Stena Plus seats as confirmed. Did get credit for cancelled seats but caused some anguish at Fishguard and rather spoiled the trip.
