Sea Spica Shimatabi Cruise

SEA SPICA is a high-speed sightseeing cruiser that transforms a trip across the Seto Inland Sea into an unforgettable experience. Part of the Setouchi Shimatabi Cruise, it connects Hiroshima and Onomichi with two scenic routes filled with culture and stunning views.

On the Usagi Course from Hiroshima to Onomichi, you’ll pass the JMSDF Kure Naval Base, glide through the narrow Ondo-no-Seto Strait with its striking red bridges, and see Chigirishima, known as “Setouchi Gunkanjima.” The highlight is a stop at Okunoshima, or Rabbit Island, where you’ll have time to explore and meet its friendly inhabitants.

The Shimanami Course from Onomichi to Hiroshima offers sweeping views of the Shimanami Kaido bridges and a visit to Osaki-Shimojima Island, where the Mitarai district preserves the charm of Edo-period Japan. The journey continues past the Ondo-no-Seto Strait and the Kure Naval Base before returning to Hiroshima.
