"Smooth booking "
, we sailed on the Stena Line and booked a cabin on the way home all went smoothly. The only thing I would like to comment on is the amount of time it took 2 get a meal. We started queuing at 5:15 and finally got our meal at 6:20 which wasn't long before the boat docked.

"recent trip to germany"
had a great trip on both brittanica ferries easy to board ,well organised and great quality cabins. breakfast was great with lots of choice but the evening meal we had from the buffet on the way home wasn't great and very expensive at over 30 euros. all in all a good experience but I think the hull to Rotterdam/Zeebrugge ferries are still better. main reason I chose stena was the price.

"Easy on, not so easy off"
It is year's since I used the Harwich to Hook of Holland ferry and really enjoyed my recent experience there and back on the Stena Britannica. We had a night crossing on the way over and a day time crossing on the way back and on both legs we booked a cabin, which I'd highly recommend. Not that the public areas aren't comfortable and keen but if you've a long drive at either end of your journey they're so comfy you can get a good rest. My one serious complaint is that on the return daytime journey we had a long wait to get a) to the car decks b) to leave the boat. I'd have liked more information about why that was.

"A mixed experience"
The good news is that the crossing was smooth and uneventful. We arrived on time. The bad news is that we were refused service in the restaurant because we did not want to order a main course. It was, of course, already nearly midnight, and one might think that the restaurant would be used to serving something light and easily digestible at this time, but we were expected to want to eat a full dinner. I can't see the point of offering this, and since the restaurant was half empty, presumably others felt the same.
