Kangaroo Island Connect

Kangaroo Island Connect (KIC) is the new premium, fast ferry service between Cape Jervis on the mainland and Penneshaw and American River on Kangaroo Island. There are daily services between the mainland and the island, with extra times added during peak season. The duration of the crossing between Cape Jervis and Penneshaw takes approximately 30 minutes and then 45 minutes between Cape Jervis and American River.

A five minute shuttle bus operates between the KIC service centre and the KIC ferry terminal prior and after each ferry trip. These shuttles coincide with the Kangaroo Island departure and arrival times. The ferry is passenger only and provides a quick and luxurious crossing through extremely picturesque surroundings. There are three cabins on board, the main cabin, the fun kids’ cabin and then the snoozers’ cabin for those who want some peace and tranquillity throughout their journey.
